Free $250,000 Thoroughbred Survivor Contest

HOW THE CONTEST WORKS:

The goal of Hawthorne’s Thoroughbred Survivor Contest is to select one horse from each race card of the 2009 Hawthorne Race Course fall Thoroughbred racing meet to finish first, second or third. If successful on Day No. 1, you move on to Day No. 2, and so on. The handicapper who lasts through December 31, 2009 will receive the grand prize of $250,000. The handicapper who last the longest but before December 31, 2009 will receive the prize of $2,500.

• The deadline to make each daily selection is 30 minutes prior to the scheduled 1st post.
• Scratches/Changes will be made available 90 minutes prior to the scheduled 1st post.
• Selections are final. Once you submit your selection, you cannot make a change.
• If a selection is scratched, you receive the actual post-time favorite.

Note – This is an online contest. No selections will be made by phone or via e-mail.

To enter the contest, complete the electronic registration form. Hawthorne Race Course must receive all registrations 30 minutes before the scheduled 1st post on October 9, 2009. The registration period begins on September 11, 2009. Contestants must provide name, e-mail address and a password. No faxed, electronically mailed, U.S. postal service entries or phoned-in entries allowed.
