BEST vs. BEST

The Hawthorne Invitational, presented by The Daily Racing Form, is one of the most competitive handicapping contests in the country, featuring a who’s who of top-rated contest players. This year’s players include: 8 NHC winners, 7 NTRA Hall of Fame Handicappers, 3 BCBC Winners and 2 Pegasus Challenge Winners. Plus winners of The Keeneland Grade 1 Gamble, Belmont Stakes Challenge, Monmouth Pick Your Prize, Travers Challenge, Del Mar Handicapping Challenge, Hawthorne Contest winners as well as NHC Tour Winners. The competition will be livestreamed with in-competition player discussions hosted by Emily Gullikson, Ed DeRosa from Horse Racing Nation and Mike Somich, host of “The Handle” on VSiN. (Click here to watch last year’s show.)

PRIZES

On Sunday, June 30th approximately 65 players will compete for over $50,000 in prizes, playing a $2500 bankroll across 4 mandatory races, 4 optional plays ($250 single-race wagers on each) and a grand finale race with a minimum $500 wager.

Prizes include: entry to the 2025 National Horseplayers Championship with a $1,000,000 bonus, entries to the Breeders Cup Betting Challenge, Pegasus Betting Challenge, Keeneland Fall Contest, Hawthorne Contests and $10,000 in cash.
