Emily's Analysis

Hawthorne Race 1

Analysis by Emily Gullikson

#3 TELL THE DREAM holds a class edge in this field. She comes back with a freshening and from the higher conditioned 11/6 race where ground loss and class played against her for a top spot.

Hawthorne Race 2

Analysis by Emily Gullikson

#3 GOOMSTER returns to Hawthorne and finds some class relief from the recent HoP event. Going back to last Friday, 11/10, he was favored with the $27.5k purse and gave an honest effort with an unlucky pip in the show photo.

Hawthorne Race 3

Analysis by Emily Gullikson

#6 BRANDON HANOVER has the edge on class returning from this condition and common race last week. #1 BARRY J could offer value and improvement in this second start of the meet and coming out of the common race with #5 FRANKSNATIVEWESTRN.

Hawthorne Race 4

Analysis by Emily Gullikson

#4 UNCUT GEM will trade local experience for class as he finds relief on this circuit. She was overmatched against the competition last week though showed interest to finish in a blanket for show (similar on 10/27) to suggest she is in form. #1 BOMBAY PARKWAY moves from the outside to the inside and returning as part of the blanket finish on 11/13 and alongside rival #6 NO WIN NO FEED A (made first move) on 11/6 and can be tough again right back.

Hawthorne Race 5

Analysis by Emily Gullikson

#5 MARTHA MAX finds some class relief and upgraded with that change as well as the subtle traffic trip back on 11/6. Her overall form and figure stack up with this field as a contender.

Hawthorne Race 6

Analysis by Emily Gullikson

#6 HE'ZZZ A WISE SKY was peaked in his form cycle heading into the 11/6 event and he was still able to give an honest account of himself on the day though saw the regression set in last week against tougher at HoP. #5 GET E UP also saw himself "peak" on 8/14 for Night of Champions and returning to a top effort has him back in the mix. #1 CLEARCHOICE DE VIE might not be the "best" horse in the race though to his credit he has a strong level of consistency.

Hawthorne Race 7

Analysis by Emily Gullikson

The connections of #4 REIGN AND SHINE seem to be looking for the right level for her to compete at this point in the season. She will find some class relief while retaining C. Stewart from the 11/9 event finishing in a blanket for the deeper minors noting the top three were together and clear at the wire.

Hawthorne Race 8

Analysis by Emily Gullikson

#4 BROOKLETS BANNER returns from a win and had that edge over the local rivals though takes on some new faces such as sophomore #2 SHARK SOLICITOR finding some class relief and circuit change and similar for the older gelding #8 MACH POWER looking for the right spot to become more competitive -- both horses showing interest for deeper minors in their most recent starts at HoP.

Hawthorne Race 9

Analysis by Emily Gullikson

Going back to the common race last week (11/13 R8) #9 SPECIAL MISSION was dominant though has the challenge today working a similar trip from the outside post. #6 RUMBLEINTHEVALLEY is upgraded from that race and played a role in the outcome setting a solid pace, taken out of his runstyle going to the lead and should improve with that start under his belt and C. Stewart back in the bike. #1 SNAP KRACKLE NTROT comes into this event from that common race and that race under her belt for the second start of the cycle and progressing this season.

Hawthorne Race 10

Analysis by Emily Gullikson

#6 LA LOLITA must stay flat though when she does she fits as a contender. This will be her second start of the cycle and this month and showed natural early speed before breaking on 11/13. #1 LOUZOTIC finds a driver change in addition to the class drop last week and seems some intent. Trip could also suit in this spot with the inside draw and should have pace to target. #7 ITS SWAN TIME was dominant on 10/29 and stepped up ran against many of the rivals in R9 on 11/3. They take this spot hoping to find the right group, his form has been consistent and overall competitive.

Hawthorne Race 11

Analysis by Emily Gullikson

#3 RJ ROCKS has held his form at this level and against a tougher group on 11/13; his form from that day and this season gives him the nod over the others that raced on that day in different events. #4 MACHDAVID dropped to regain some confidence on 11/11 and takes a confident step up returning here. #9 JULERICA takes the worst of it at the draw and also giving up some recency that combination might have him in the mix for underneath.
