Emily's Analysis

Fair Grounds Race 1

Analysis by Emily Gullikson

#5 WHOLE LOTTA LUTE is a one-way type, though that one way is on the lead and could present a pace advantage in this field. They lacked that advantage on 12/26 making a WIDE RUSH X_FLOW (stayed on as BOS X_FLOW back in October at Hawthorne) their first start of the FG meet.

Fair Grounds Race 3

Analysis by Emily Gullikson

#8 CAIRO STREET is a versatile type and presents as a contender based on their overall, form, figures and intent. This marks the second start off the claim returning to claiming company and without a drop given the time and placement. While a quicker return might have been preferred the time off might also have been required with the steady string of racing in the back half of 2024.

Fair Grounds Race 6

Analysis by Emily Gullikson

MTO #14 CARIBBEAN DREAM was training well into the debut back in late December at Oaklawn Park and might not have handled the ship, surface and timing for a COLD B. Cox barn at the time of the meet. They appear to have come out of the 12/29 race well (a race that has held form) and while their were training at FG prior to the debut, they have been training at OP since and return to FG for a second start.
