Calhoun will send out a pair in this race including morning line favorite, #4 LAWLESS TIMES, however preference sides with #1 LIGHTENING MO keying off the first two start last sprint and returning to the FG main track for the first time since. She should be sitting on a top effort in this second start of the cycle and fitness exiting the turf event last month. 

#5 BROADWAY STAR returns for the seconds start this meet and positive distance change with the STRETCH out in distance. 

#9 FAT AND FURIOUS has to show she could transfer her form to the main track this season and has do just that. She could get overlooked off the recent running line, noting a complete EX - EXCUSE on the day. 

#3 CAVIAR RESOLUTION paired up BTL efforts in the two most recent starts and should be competitive once again. She has some further upgraded from the 12/29 event and can sit closer to the pace if asked than the two recent starts. 

First time starter #4 BAGEL AND DELI has moved forward in her works (especially from the gate) and physically looks suited to today's surface and distance. She worked in company with Lock It Up one that debuted yesterday. 

#6 SPLASH MASTER recency a BTL effort in her debut back at CD in November. She has just a pair of works since to prepare for this debut though finds a softer race par, a flow upgrade, and better draw for this second start. #7 FLATHEAD FINALE has the benefit of local experience and has shown intent to stretch out in distance keying off a 12/21 vet scratch. She has worked since and back under similar conditions and looking to IMPROVE off the debut when breaking SLOG and making a MOVE. 

#5 NAKOTA must step up though if she has that move forward this is the time and group. She caught a higher MSW race par in her first two starts. That includes a productive race and common race with #2 ENGLISH DANCER on 12/2 with two next out winners the other two finishing second and third behind one of those winners, Visually. The blinkers will be added on NAKOTA and they might try to show more early speed though she had also tried to get out around the turn in training and the equipment change looks to correct that.

Visually #1 ELLIE MOORE and #3 PINK WHITNEY have required the DROP they find today. PINK has lacked some progression and gives up recency off the 48-day break and  ELLIE wheels back from the 1/1 event where she had an overall less than ideal trip and raced against the profile/X_BIAS. 

There has not been any intent until this point for #6 SPIRIT RULES one that has been losing ground in her sprint races and has just the one way of going in here and just one way to win. 

This is a competitive event where many have recorded races on par and figures. That could even include #1 EASTBOUND deserving of a return to the dirt, a surface he has only raced over twice, both as a juvenile with his debut effort BTL and second attention compromised by TACTIC- and ground loss/WIDE.

Dollase will send out a pair and expect #2 MIDNIGHT MAMMOTH to engage #3 IT'S MY HOUSE with #4 ARHAM keeping them honest. That should assist #5 REDLINE with a trip and one that comes in with buried current form and TROUBLE earlier this month on the turf. His main track route form is also buried with the two DMR races last summer earning some of the higher figures in his career and those numbers on par for this race. 

#1 SAND TO SEA has legit gate and early speed and from the rail should make that lead his trip today on the front end. It was a mistake on 11/25 after breaking sharp/POP to concede the lead to the eventual winner and would not expect the same mistake twice. #4 CITY OF ANGELS returns from the field high figure on 12/17 a number and effort that was projected (IMPROVE) from the 10/22 EX - EXCUSE over the turf and showing run against the dynamic/X_FLOW.

#1 WARREN'S PARADICE is unproven over the surface and distance, though stacks up on class. Going back to her debut, the lone dirt race (5f at DMR 2yo) she looked to require the drop on the day. She has remained at the MSW with the one exception returning from the long layoff in June, though did not find much class relief on that day running against open company. 

#4 PLUM CREEK could present a move forward today and likely sitting on a peak effort. She returns for this event making her SA debut, a course she has trained over, though yet to race on. She will also return with the 34-day freshening, a change from the first three races run together on shorter rest.

5f turf is a specialty, #5 DANCING SOUL has been effective at the surface/distance. She could build off those efforts on this SA turf course a shift from DMR keying off the two summer starts and common races with #6 TEEN DRAMA one that was able to race off the pace, a trip that can be tougher on this course; and staying on better over fellow pacesetter #3 GYPSY LYNN. 

Excusing the 11/05 race for obvious reasons, #6 AWESOME RHYTHM has been his best self over this course and 6f distance. He was caught in the photo in his second career start and validated himself breaking his maiden (5/2022) with a return to the course and distance with one of the higher figures in the field - and for today's race should be one of the higher figures on the board.
