The sneaky drop and lower profile connections could be the right move to play #1 CHRYSO ALOGO in this competitive race where a case can be made for any of the six. They were protected at the higher starter event first off the claim and had adversity at the SLOG/TROUBLE_S and significant ground loss in the process three weeks ago.

The only regret here with #7 DEGREE OF RISK is that they are not racing at Hawthorne which was the plan before the rain took the races off the turf on 5/4. DEGREE OF RISK had some buried and strong form from prior to the layoffs and upgraded massively from the X_WIDE trip back in March at TP. He ran to that forward progression last month with a B/BTL effort where he was probably "best" on the day settled for place given the "trip" and won the GALLOP+ out.

#7 ART FAIR is upgraded of the three experienced runners earning a follow on debut with a sneaky CLOSE and visuals to suggest they can IMPROVE.

#1 SMILE FOR DAVID coming into this race as the third start back off the layoff and key progression race-to-race. She showed tactical speed last out though can rate to work out a trip in today's race shape.

As a new face #4 DIAL A CLICHE takes the clear class drop and on principal alone should move up from MSW company. Going back to the debut, she made a positive PRERACE+ appearance and TROUBLE_S.

#7 DESTIN NIGHT is a flow upgrade from 5/30 and should translate in today's race shape. #4 FLIP FLOPPIN FAST projected to improve (PREP) two weeks ago and did just that with the place finish complete with the SLOG/TROUBLE_S and making a WIDE MOVE. The price will be shorter today with that race on top of the pp's though still tough to dismiss completely. #9 TEXENSIS had a look on 5/30, a late scr that day came back two weeks ago and credible effort at this level, something she can repeat keying off the sneaky form from last year.

#2 CALUSA DONNIE fits strongly as a contender in this race and should present value with other connections in this field. He broke his maiden for $25k last season and should be fit with the key distance change STRETCH out for this second start off the layoff.
