Emily's Analysis
Del Mar Race 6
Post Time 6:33 PM CST
#8 I HAD THAT ONE TOO brings in current form returning to statebred company where she had been competitive for these connections in the past season. That SoCal form could be overlooked if just focusing on result though on figures/grades and often Green Keywords both with races on the turf and dirt.
Del Mar Race 9

#5 SCHILFLIED fits as a ONE_TURN type though will find out (and with price compensation) if that one turn translates to the 5f distance. With those factors noted they fit on class and speed on par as a contender. That also carried to current form lacking Red Keywords/OptixNOTES and subtle flow upgrade in the three most recent starts.
#3 LOVIN' ON THE RUN is a longshot to win with the class test, though brings in current form (something that could impact odds to the shorter side) and more intriguing is their buried turf sprint form including a B+ MSW win last summer.
Del Mar Race 11

#11 KANSAS CAT is training well, has some run and could be overlooked off their TAM form/figures showing up fresh on this circuit. As far as the TAM races they looked to need the start coming off the layoff in February returning with a BTL effort in the 3/7 start and improved number wise just days later on 3/19 and similar in April pairing up B- OptixGRADE.
#1 SUCHET looks fit breezing into this start and appears well intended for this meet for their connections. They show up reasonably placed for this initial stateside start taking advantage of their eligibility in this N2 allowance condition.

#3 TOAST THE GHOST recorded a B- OptixGRADE in their debut at this MOC40 level making a SAVED CLOSE and GALLOP+ at the shorter 4.5f distance. The step up in class was a hurdle earlier this month (7/6) though should benefit from the fitness and conditioning showing more tactical speed (FTQ) and the practice with the blinker addition.
From the 6/28 common race: #2 WUNHHAPPY WABBIT gave that pair a head start with the VSLOG though put in a late MOVE and continued to GALLOP+ out past the wire - something tough to see with the running line and finishing position. #4 SANS DANCER stayed on BOS SAVED from the rail draw stalked by the 4-5 chalk winner Cayenne Kiss. They recorded the same B- OptixGRADE as #7 PERFECT SPARKLE finishing show with a WIDE RUSH moved up on the change in class after showing run in the first two MSW starts, now at the right level for their abilities.

#4 WAGNER had a legitimate EX at this level course and distance last month with adversity early from the TROUBLE_S RUSH to in running TRAFFIC TROUBLE and appears no worse for the wear back under similar conditions getting this rebate.
#8 HAWKESBURY is less proven on turf with the lone grass race around two turns last season and upgraded from that event making a RUSH into a Very Fast early pace and overall can be assessed as an "excuse" on the day. They bring upside with the change in post, class and timing for this second start off the layoff with the STRETCH in distance.

#4 PROMISING could present a pace advantage looking at Surface/Distance - that Distance as positive change back to ONE_TURN, a distance they have yet to run at this year and since returning from the layoff. They return to WO and trainer J. Carroll as well as L. Contreras, picking up this mount and their only mount on the card.
Woodbine Race 4

#3 WEEHAWKEN should move up with the class DROP with upside returning from the "trip" in the Royal North (G3) earlier this season. The trip was rough from the TROUBLE_S making a RUSH WIDE into a Very Fast early (and late pace) making a MOVE before losing ground. They have run competitively over this course distance and conditions including a PERFECT trip win last September.
Woodbine Race 9
Post Time 4:21 PM CST
#4 GO GIFFEN recorded a B/BTL effort tat this level course and distance given the TRAFFIC TROUBLE trip making a CLOSE (and GALLOP+) into a Slow early/late pace closing out 2024 on 11/28. They returned from the 219-day layoff perhaps needing the start and from there a better set of TACTIC- and racing luck lacking ROOM and making a CLOSE into another Slow early/late pace to upgrade all around.
