This year's editions of the Oaks and Derby are fantastic as there is no standout in either of the races. In the Oaks, I'll give the nod to 4-COUNTING STARS as she races for Mark Casse. She has tactical speed and a favorable draw. After being pulled up in her start three back, she has been sharp in her last two, winning the Fantasy last out. The ML is 8-1 but I expect she is more in the 5-1 range. She won her only start at Churchill in her debut and draws favorably. 7-DAZZLING DAME is the sleeper in the field to me. 30-1 in an incredible price on a horse that should be able to make the top. If nobody else goes with her, look for her to potentially get brave in the lane and hang around for a share late. 10-PROM QUEEN is lightly raced but has gotten better with each start. She's another that will go off shorter than her 8-1 ML but her stalking style should put her in a perfect position to contend the entire way. 11-PERCY'S BAR I think will actually provide more value than her 6-1 ML. She has never gone off favored in six career starts and took advantage of a dream trip behind a very slow pace in her last. She'll likely be racing from further back in here but should be picking off horses late.
