#1 OUT OF DEDUCTIONS working at Hawthorne for the return to the races, a break they looked to need following the visuals in the two races following the Carey Memorial last season. With the freshening, the connections take the class DROP, another favorable move based on the visuals in the allowance races closing out 2025. The rail draw should suit their runstyle and today's race with some tactical speed, other "need the lead" types to their outside looking to save ground for first run.

#4 TIGER'S LEGACY has a live longshot look in this spot. While they require their best for the win, they have those races in their career to compete. Perhaps the bigger edge in this case is catching the right field time and place with some horses stepping up in class off wins and in the case of #7 SEND CASH coming off a dominant/B+ win last month at GP though a HARD effort projecting REGRESS.

#4 JOHN HANCOCK could have to deal with some pace pressure to hold for the win, while should be intent as they wheel back for this second start following long layoff. They lacked value at 9-2 in the layoff return on 5/2, a competitive race all around and a race which has held form going forward. The B. Cox barn has been sending out live runners as of late one of those called Gunmetal with today's rider L. Machado aboard.
