#7 PLAGNE CHAMPAGNE has a long show look with the changes in this race. Going back to her debut, she turned in a competitive (B-) effort and figure though visually suggesting the DROP would be required and finds that here. This will be her figures start of the year and even going back to 12/29 showed run with adversity SHUFFLE TRAFFIC making a MOVE despite the running line and finishing position.

#4 PROVE WORTHY fits at this level and can compete though often his own biggest hurdle. The SLOG pattern has often left him too much to do and was the case on 5/3 though the added ground should assist and to their credit posted a B- OptixGRADE and CLOSE.
#5 COMMANDPERFORMANCE holds a win/B at this level and upside returning to these conditions. He has been freshened from the OP finale when given a near "excuse" on the day with the TACTIC- overall and while making WIDE MOVE before NO_PUSH late. The connections look live here as they were entered under similar conditions hoping the races came off the turf (5/31) last week.
Woodbine Race 1
#2 COHERENCE returns in a better spot (DROP) to take on winners and upgraded from the trip (TACTIC-TROUBLE) coming off the layoff last month. Trip will be key here with the race shape, though R. Munger aboard for the win last season suggested intent returning in 2024 and today's race par is similar to that even back in November.
Woodbine Race 5
#3 PONTIAC struggled last year with the level of competition racing against the higher allowance/stakes company. To some extent, that carried to the event last month, though still recorded a B- OptixGRADE with adversity (TRAFFIC, MOVE) showing run (MOVE, GALLOP+) with the ride not as ideal (TACTIC-) and visually should appreciate the added ground (GALLOP+, STRETCH) returning for the second start off the layoff and lower par today.
